Ride to Jawhar & Kalamboli Falls

Sometimes you don’t need to ride far to feel far away from everything. In 2023, I took a short but refreshing ride out to Jawhar, a place that blends old-world charm with quiet hills and clean air. It wasn’t about ticking off a destination—it was just a chance to get away, feel the road, and stumble upon a few hidden gems.

First stop was Kalamboli Waterfall, a lively little spot where the water crashes down over black stone ledges. The place was buzzing with people cooling off under the spray, helmets and jackets tossed aside. It’s one of those raw, simple places where the water is cold and no one cares about much else but soaking in the moment.

Later, we rode over to Jawhar Palace—a surprisingly elegant structure standing tall against the red earth and blue sky. The building looked like it was pulled out of a forgotten photo album, a bit worn but full of character. It wasn’t crowded, just calm and still. The perfect contrast to the energy of the waterfall earlier in the day.

The ride itself, winding through empty roads and dry hills, was smooth and peaceful. No rush. Just a ride to remember, and a reminder that Maharashtra still has pockets left to explore.

Kalamboli Waterfall - Jawhar

Went for a ride to Kalamboli Waterfall in Jawhar, and honestly, it’s one of those places that feels untouched. Tucked deep in the hills, it’s not a touristy spot — no stalls, no rush — just nature doing its thing. The waterfall isn’t massive, but it’s got this calm, clean flow surrounded by rocks and greenery. Feels peaceful the moment you step off the bike. The road getting there is a bit rough, but that's part of the fun. We parked nearby and walked a short trail down. Sat by the water, dipped our feet in — freezing cold but refreshing. Jawhar itself is full of small surprises like this. If you're into quiet rides, nature, and just getting away from noise, Kalamboli’s a good spot to explore.
